Job Title: Project Manager Philadelphia

Location: 100% in Philadelphia, PA

Pay rate: $40 TO $43/hr on W2

Duration : 5 + months Contract with possibility if extension depends on the performance and project

Position Summary:

The Project Manager, reporting to the Program Manager within the Project Management Office (PMO), is responsible for leading and executing projects aligned with strategic initiatives across the Research Institute and the broader hospital enterprise. This role focuses on projects related to process improvement, change management, and systems implementation, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage PMO-assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement strategic project management frameworks.
  • Lead or support business analysis activities and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage all stages of RFP processes including:
  • Financial assessment
  • Project charter and planning
  • RFP documentation
  • Vendor management and selection
  • Final recommendation reports
  • Provide training and guidance on PMO methodologies and tools to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor project effectiveness and success metrics such as ROI.
  • Identify project risks and issues, propose corrective actions, and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
  • Maintain all project documentation and reporting to PMO standards.
  • Lead stakeholder communication efforts to promote transparency and alignment.
  • Continuously engage in professional development related to project management and research administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Business Analysis (BABOK) and change management frameworks.
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality/process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with healthcare/research operations and information systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); experience with project management and diagramming tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Lean/Six Sigma, Agile, or PMP certification – preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or research environments
