Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Supervisor in the Perrysburg, OH area to lead field crews on industrial projects and emergency response actions.

You will develop work plans, coordinate resources, train staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of supervisory experience in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL license preferred.
• Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout required.
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations preferred.
• Emergency response supervisor training preferred.
• Some experience in following up on sales leads preferred.
• Knowledge of CRM programs and federal and state environmental regulations.
• All applicants must pass pre-employment requirements: physical including drug and alcohol screening; background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of field crews on planned projects and Emergency Response activities.
• Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher for manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Conduct job walks to ensure safety protocols are followed and provide training to field staff.
• Plan proactive approaches to address challenges and ensure project progression within budget.
• Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customer to meet contractual obligations and approve change orders.
• Ensure project execution within budget and on time; manage performance and discipline as needed.
• Maintain safety reporting and compliance with company policy; build relationships with customer contacts onsite.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of field employees for planned projects and Emergency Response activities to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher in the allocation of manpower, equipment and other resources needed.
• Perform job walks to ensure safety protocols are in place and being followed, provide training to field employees and monitor the progress and quality of work.
• Plan proactive approaches to overcome challenges or issues that could arise throughout a project or emergency response action.
• Diagnose and solve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customer to ensure contractual obligations are met to complete requested services, project progression status and ensure that change orders are completed/communicated/approved and executed before any additional work is performed.
• Ensure the execution of the project within the budgeted constraints and completed on time.
• Manage employee performance through guidance, training and discipline if necessary. Provide input to general management regarding the performance of field employees.
• Manage safety performance and reporting of work-related accidents and incidents in a timely manner consistent with company policy.
• Develop relationships with customer contacts onsite and provide additional service capabilities as needed.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
• Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 10 - 15+ years of supervisory experience for multiple crews in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.

• Work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Required to wear a variety of personal protection equipment.
• Performs work in all weather conditions during any hours during the day or night.
