Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in Concord, NC, seeks an experienced supervisor for field crews in environmental, remediation and industrial services. You will manage daily field operations, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in fast-paced projects and emergency responses. CDL preferred and pre-employment screening required.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of supervisory experience for multiple crews in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.
• Valid driver’s license required. CDL license preferred.
• Pre-employment requirements: physical, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and safe practices.
• Manage day-to-day activities of field employees for planned projects and Emergency Response activities.
• Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher for manpower and resources.
• Conduct job walks to verify safety protocols and monitor work quality.
• Plan proactive approaches to overcome project or response challenges.
• Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customers to meet contractual obligations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of field employees for planned projects and Emergency Response activities to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Develop work plans and coordinate with the Dispatcher in the allocation of manpower, equipment and other resources needed.
• Perform job walks to ensure safety protocols are in place and being followed, provide training to field employees and monitor the progress and quality of work.
• Plan proactive approaches to overcome challenges or issues that could arise throughout a project or emergency response action.
• Diagnose and solve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Communicate with Operations Manager, Project Manager and customer to ensure contractual obligations are met to complete requested services, project progression status and ensure that change orders are completed/communicated/approved and executed before any additional work is performed.
• Ensure the execution of the project within the budgeted constraints and completed on time.
• Manage employee performance through guidance, training and discipline if necessary. Provide input to general management regarding the performance of field employees.
• Manage safety performance and reporting of work-related accidents and incidents in a timely manner consistent with company policy.
• Develop relationships with customer contacts onsite and provide additional service capabilities as needed.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
• Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 10 - 15+ years of supervisory experience for multiple crews in Environmental, Remediation and/or Industrial Services.
• Valid driver’s license required. CDL license preferred.
• Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations preferred.
• Emergency response supervisor training preferred.
• Some experience in following up on sales leads preferred.
• Knowledge of CRM programs and federal and state environmental regulations.
• All applicants must pass the following pre-employment requirements:

• Background check in accordance with local laws and regulations

• Occasional pushing, pulling, twisting and turning.
• Occasional lifting items overhead.
• Standing up to 6-8 hours daily.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Required to wear a variety of personal protection equipment.
• Performs work in all weather conditions during any hours during the day or night.
