Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Project Manager to supervise all aspects of a community, maintain schedules, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants. The role focuses on scheduling, cost control, and ensuring quality across the construction process.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in housing or development, a strong writing ability, and advanced PC skills. Travel, site presence, and leadership are essential in this office-based role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields.
  • 7+ years in community development, redevelopment, or housing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and writing abilities; advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain community and construction schedules and oversee construction activities and quality control.
  • Coordinate input from Division Executives on site and design aspects.
  • Supervise outside consultants for architecture, civil/landscape/soils engineering.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and coordinate partner meetings and safety reviews.

The Project Manager is responsible for supervising and directing all aspects of a community, including maintaining community schedules. This role involves coordinating with other department heads and outside consultants for architectural design and site planning.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
  • Maintain community and construction schedules, overseeing all construction activities and quality control.
  • Coordinate input from Division Executives on site and architectural design.
  • Supervise and coordinate with outside consultants for architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and soils engineering.
  • Provide weekly written reports on progress, trade partner meetings, agency contacts, problem resolution, and safety meetings.
  • Create and maintain site budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with outside consultants for services such as architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and soils engineering.
  • Assist in preparing feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate DRE processing, CC&R’s, and set up HOAs, acting as a liaison and board member if needed.
  • Secure and manage the exoneration of necessary bonds.
  • Coordinate model complexes and conditional use permits.
  • Support the Operations Department during the construction process.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years in community development, redevelopment, economic development, or housing preferred (public agency, private company, or non-profit).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Urban Design, Planning, Real Estate, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Advanced PC skills: Word, Excel (Spreadsheets), Power Point preferred.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong writing skills.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Strong motivational, management, and organizational skills required.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.
