About the Role

MWH is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant construction projects for municipal and industrial clients, based out of Tampa, FL or Savannah, GA.

Essential Functions
  • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions or subordinate project managers, coordinating staffing with US Operations and other departments.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate boundaries.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and A/E contacts to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
  • Monitor and control construction through on-site managers to ensure schedule and budget adherence, investigating and correcting serious issues.
  • Represent the company in meetings and negotiations.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect interests and maintain good client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the project team to complete planning documents before fieldwork.
  • Ensure safety practices are followed by all employees.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to project staff.
  • Procure subcontractors and materials through agreements and subcontracts.
  • Support change management, cost estimating, revenue and cost forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by regional leadership.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management on heavy civil or industrial projects.
  • 3-5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
  • Ability to apply management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Understanding of industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business orientation and judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA safety training.
  • Experience with water/wastewater and advanced technology projects.
