Job summary

Smarty, LLC. in Orem, UT is seeking an organized Project Manager to sit at the center of our engineering effort.

You will own project plans, timelines, and dependencies across multiple teams, partner with Product Managers and Engineering Managers, and drive delivery with clarity and momentum so complex work lands on time. This onsite role suits proactive builders who translate priorities into actionable plans, facilitate planning and retrospectives, and continuously improve delivery visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3–5 years of experience managing or coordinating software delivery in a technical environment.
• Proven experience working closely with engineering teams (ideally backend systems, APIs, or platform products).
• Experience owning project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Hands-on experience partnering with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to translate priorities into actionable plans.
• Experience facilitating planning and delivery conversations (e.g., sprint planning, milestone reviews, retrospectives).
• Demonstrated ability to improve delivery clarity, predictability, and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own Project Planning & Delivery: Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones for engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate execution across multiple teams and working groups.
• Track progress, manage dependencies, and identify risks or blockers early.
• Drive follow-through to ensure projects stay on track.
• Partner with Product & Engineering: Collaborate with Product Managers to understand priorities and objectives.
• Work with Engineering Managers and team leads to define execution plans and timelines.
• Facilitate alignment when priorities, scope, or timelines shift.
• Enable Team Execution: Facilitate planning sessions, check-ins, and retrospectives to support delivery.
• Help teams break down work into clear phases and milestones.
• Reduce friction, confusion, and unnecessary coordination overhead.
• Improve Delivery Visibility: Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain dashboards, documentation, and project artifacts.
• Ensure shared understanding of timelines, tradeoffs, and dependencies.
• Strengthen Delivery Practices: Identify recurring delivery challenges and recommend improvements.
• Help standardize planning and tracking practices across teams.
• Introduce structure that supports teams without slowing them down.

As Project Manager , you'll sit at the center of our engineering work, partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and team leads to turn priorities into clear, achievable plans. You'll own project plans, timelines, and dependencies across multiple teams, keep stakeholders informed, and make sure everyone shares the same picture of where things stand. We're counting on you to bring clarity, structure, and momentum: spotting risks before they become problems, driving follow-through, and building delivery practices that help our teams move faster without adding red tape. This role is a great fit for an organized, proactive builder who's comfortable in a technical environment and takes real satisfaction in seeing complex work land on time.

This is an onsite, non-remote opening in Orem, UT.

What you'll do
