Job description

About the Position:

Ready to take full ownership of complex industrial projects from bid through final closeout?

We are hiring a Project Manager II in Omaha, Nebraska, to lead customer-facing projects across an industrial product portfolio. This is an opportunity to own complex, physical-product projects from bid and kickoff through delivery and closeout while working at the center of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, service, and accounting.

You will begin with smaller assignments and grow into managing approximately five to ten active projects. Success in this role means setting a clear plan, keeping teams accountable, communicating confidently with customers, and knowing when to solve a problem independently or extend it. If you enjoy turning technical complexity into organized execution, this role offers meaningful ownership and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, documentation, and contract execution from start to finish.
  • Lead customer kickoffs, progress reviews, negotiations, status meetings, and project closeouts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, service, sales, and accounting.
  • Track progress against schedule and budget baselines, identify risk early, and provide clear updates to leadership.
  • Review contractual terms, support bid schedules and approvals, and help strengthen project-management processes.
  • Lead through influence, creating accountability across teams without direct supervisory authority.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of proven project-management experience with ownership of schedules, budgets, deliverables, and project outcomes.
  • Experience leading projects in manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, automation, material handling, construction equipment, or another physical-product environment.
  • The technical aptitude to understand project requirements and read drawings or blueprints.
  • Strong customer communication, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with contract review, bid management, MS Project, PMP certification, or a second language is an advantage.

This is a fully onsite role with a flexible daily schedule, typically 40 to 45 hours per week. Travel may reach 25%, including international trips. The anticipated base salary is $75,000 to $95,000, with flexibility for exceptional experience, plus profit sharing of approximately 5%, health and dental coverage, life insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.
