Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Manager for an on‑site role in North Reading, MA. You will lead projects through planning, development, and closeout, coordinating with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to meet time and budget goals.

Role requires strong facilities knowledge and experience with manufacturing or industrial projects, plus proficient use of MS Project and MS Office. A valid driver's license and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management or similar field preferred or 10+ years PM experience
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in industrial or manufacturing projects
  • Valid driver's license with clean record (or with restrictions as allowed)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project lifecycle from planning to post‑project support.
  • Coordinate with owner, construction manager, architect, subcontractors, CBRE personnel on quality and schedule.
  • Maintain project budget and prepare change orders for additional work.
  • Create and maintain project schedules using MS Project, Excel or cloud tools.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
  • Read and interpret construction documents and risk mitigation plans.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and drawings/spec compliance.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle from planning stage through transition to post project support with focus on working within predetermined estimates and timelines. To control the flow of information on each project to ensure the owner, construction manager, architect, subcontractors and CBRE company personnel understand the quality and schedule requirements of the project. This position is for a fulfillment/ manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Strongfacilitiesknowledge, especially in chillers, building systems, and maintenance improvements.
  • Manages the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in the implementation of Building Systems and Technology upgrades, retrofits,and new installation projects.
  • Maintains project budget andpreparechange orders throughout project when necessary for anyadditionalwork.
  • Creates andmaintainsproject scheduleutilizingMS Project, Excel, or othercloud basedscheduling tools.
  • Interfaces directly with clients & stakeholders to define project requirements. Prepares project plans, project delivery resource requirements, work plan scheduleand milestones.
  • Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex construction documents, including but not limited to:agreements/contracts, project charters, bid specifications and construction drawings, quality control, risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with drawings/specs.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in productionof precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Capability to manage several projects of different scale simultaneously
  • Must possess knowledge of MS Office suite and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of computer software applicationssuch as ASANA, orability to quickly learn.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower-level employees.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management or any similartype of Bachelor's degree programpreferred OR Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction Project Management
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience and/or trainingwith specific experience in industrial or manufacturing projects preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)

The minimum salary for the Project Manager position is $110,000 annually or [ $52.80 per hour], and the maximum salary for the Project Manager position is $130,000 annually or [$62.50 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
