Job summary

Summit Construction Advisors is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale multifamily and commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. • Experience coordinating with field operations and subcontractors.

Our client, a leading mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Manager to support large-scale multifamily and commercial construction projects. This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful execution related to schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multifamily and commercial mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion
• Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and execution strategies in collaboration with field and operations teams
• Monitor project financials, including budgets, forecasting, billing, and cost tracking
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment procurement, and material deliveries
• Conduct preconstruction and project planning meetings while driving accountability on action items
• Maintain communication with clients, field leadership, and internal stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges
• Review project reports and proactively identify solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and project documentation
• Perform site visits, progress reviews, and quality inspections throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial mechanical construction
• Multifamily project experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, and construction operations
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
• Experience coordinating with field operations, subcontractors, and ownership teams
