Capgemini is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive a multi-workstream financial crime compliance remediation program for a major financial services client. You'll balance program management with regulatory obligations, planning across MRAs/MRIAs and governance reporting to senior stakeholders.
You will own plans, RAID logs, risk and issue tracking, and coordinate with sanctions, AML, KYC, and QA leads to ensure timely delivery.
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to work in a multi-workstream financial crime compliance (FCC) remediation program for one of our financial services clients. You'll sit at the intersection of program management and compliance: planning and tracking workstreams, managing regulatory remediation commitments (including items arising from MRIAs / MRAs), and producing governance reporting for senior client stakeholders. You'll rotate across compliance topics as the program evolves, so comfort moving between subject areas matters more than deep specialization in any single one.
The client is a large, highly regulated consumer and commercial payments and financial services business (card issuing, network/merchant services, and related lending products), operating under close supervision from U.S. federal banking and consumer-protection regulators. Its compliance function is executing a structured, multi-year remediation agenda spanning several FCC domains, with active oversight from regulators and Group/enterprise risk functions.
Own project plans, milestones and RAID logs across one or more concurrent compliance remediation workstreams, adjusting scope coverage as program priorities shift.
Manage remediation action plans tied to regulatory commitments (MRAs/MRIAs and similar), ensuring root-cause analysis, corrective actions and evidence are complete and audit-ready.
Run governance routines — steering committees, status reporting, risk/issue escalation — aligning first- and second-line stakeholders and external advisors.
Partner with compliance subject-matter leads (e.g., sanctions, AML/transaction monitoring, KYC, quality assurance) to structure deliverables and tracking methodology, without owning the technical content itself.
Produce consolidated, executive-ready status reporting (RAG status, dependencies, timeline risk) for senior client leadership and Capgemini engagement leads.
Manage resourcing, timelines and interdependencies across the program, flagging capacity and scope risks early.
10+ years combining project/program management with financial services compliance, ideally within a large bank, card issuer or payments company.
Hands-on experience managing MRA/MRIA (or equivalent regulatory finding) remediation, from root-cause analysis through closure and validation.
Working knowledge of card issuing / payments business models and the regulatory environment around them.
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple compliance topics without requiring deep specialization in any one.
Strong PM fundamentals: planning, governance reporting, steering committee management, stakeholder alignment.
Excellent executive communication — able to translate technical compliance detail into clear senior-level reporting.
PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification.
CAMS or equivalent financial crime compliance certification.
Prior experience on consulting-led remediation engagements (Big 4 or strategy/implementation consultancy).
Familiarity with RCSA methodology and risk-and-control-library-based reporting frameworks.
Workstream project plans, milestone tracking and RAID logs.
MRA/MRIA remediation action plans and closure evidence packages.
Governance reporting: steering committee decks, status reports, risk/issue logs.
Resourcing and timeline risk escalations to program leadership.
