Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role located in New York, NY. The Project Manager will oversee construction projects from planning through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities include managing permits and expediting processes, monitoring inspections, ensuring compliance with local building codes, and resolving issues that may impact timelines or quality. The role also involves communicating with clients and stakeholders, preparing progress reports, managing project documentation, and aligning logistics management with the overall project plan to keep work on track and safe.

Qualifications

• Project oversight skills, including Project Management and Logistics Management, with the ability to plan, execute, and close construction projects.
• Experience with permitting and regulatory processes, including Expeditor and Expediting skills for navigating city agencies and approvals.
• Inspection-related experience, with strong attention to detail and familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and quality control.
• Proficiency in construction project tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar scheduling and documentation platforms).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or similar role in commercial or residential construction in New York City is highly beneficial.
