Job summary

ProSource Group in New York City is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across Manhattan, including interior fit-outs and renovations valued around $5 million. You will report to the Director of Projects and manage from preconstruction through closeout, on-site in NYC.

The role focuses on project delivery, client communication, schedules, budgets, procurement, and coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, quality results.

Qualifications

• At least four years of relevant commercial construction project-management experience.
• Experience working for a general contractor or construction manager.
• Experience managing projects of approximately $5 million is desirable.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from initial planning through final closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and procurement plans
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, vendors and internal project teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Monitor project costs, progress, quality and contractual requirements
• Lead project meetings and maintain regular communication with clients
• Identify potential delays, cost issues and project risks
• Coordinate closely with field leadership to maintain safe and efficient delivery
• Oversee punch-list completion, turnover and final project closeout

Project Manager (NYC / General Contractor)

Role Overview A New York City general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects throughout Manhattan, including Downtown NYC. Projects typically involve commercial interior fit-outs and renovations, with values averaging approximately $5 million. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Projects and take responsibility for projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and closeout. The position is fully on-site and would suit someone who enjoys remaining close to project delivery while managing the commercial, scheduling and client-facing elements of the work.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of approximately $150,000, depending on experience
