Job description

About the Company

We are a dynamic and growing company that delivers high-quality construction projects throughout New York City. We believe in empowering our teams through strong collaboration and providing opportunities for professional growth. We are looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career and make a real impact on our success.

Role Overview: Project Manager (Office-Focused)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to be the engine behind our construction projects. This is a crucial, office-based role focused on the proactive planning and preparation that ensures our projects run smoothly and efficiently. You'll spend approximately 70% of your time in the office and 30% in the field, ensuring every detail is accounted for before a problem arises. This role is less about on-site reaction and more about in-office preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Project Preparation: Take ownership of projects from the initial planning stages through to completion. Your primary focus will be on preparing the project, not just reacting to issues on‑site.
  • Comprehensive Document Control: Meticulously manage all project documentation, including submittals, subcontracts, and change orders. You'll be responsible for organizing, tracking, and ensuring the timely flow of all critical project documents.
  • Subcontractor and Approval Management: Prepare and coordinate all subcontractor agreements and manage the entire approval flow process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and ready for execution.
  • Proactive Problem‑Solving: Identify and address potential issues during the planning phase to prevent costly delays and maintain the project schedule and budget.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure project objectives are aligned and communicated effectively.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are compliant with building codes, safety regulations, and our company’s high‑quality standards through diligent preparation and oversight.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and proactive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget by mastering the preparation phase.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary: $130K–$150K
  • Medical, 401K, and performance‑based bonuses
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented culture with genuine opportunities for growth
