Job summary

CSA Group, Architects and Engineers in New York is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead complex architectural and engineering projects. You will oversee scopes, schedules, and budgets, coordinating consulting architects and engineers to deliver client-focused solutions.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and an integrative view of multi-disciplinary projects within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years in architectural, engineering and/or project management environments.
  • 3–5 years design and drafting coordination on corporate, commercial and industrial NY projects.
  • PANYNJ project experience preferred.
  • Excellent space programming and analytical skills.

  • Coordinate a team of consulting architects and engineers through project studies.
  • Lead client meetings, prepare notes and meeting minutes.
  • Communicate project scope clearly with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Multi-task and be able to work on a variety of projects with varying deadlines in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet client’s changing needs and requirements
  • Effectively apply established methodologies and enforce project standards
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of project scopes, deliverables and project financials
  • Present and articulate coordination and management/ ideas rationale clearly and concisely
  • Monitor and prepare reviews and maintain quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, formatted and stored appropriately
  • Track and report consulting team’s hours and expenditures on a weekly basis
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on project
  • Understand and communicate project scope. Effectively communicate with team and client for out of scope items
  • Manage and coordinate a team of consulting architects and engineers through Real Estate Property due diligence assessment studies
  • Arrange, coordinate and facilitate site visits
  • Coordinate space verification and programming requirements with stakeholders
  • Review deliverables prepared by consultants before presenting to clients
  • Experience in running and controlling Client meetings
  • Produce and organize notes from client and team meetings to produce effective meeting minutes
  • Cross selling between CSA disciplines and client interaction to develop task assignments under On-call contracts.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture field.
  • 5 years of experience in project work in an architectural, engineering and/or project management environment
  • Candidate must have minimum 3-5 years design and drafting coordination experience on corporate, commercial and industrial design projects in the New York region
  • PANYNJ Project Experience Preferred.
  • Must have excellent space programming and Analysis skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills both oral and written
  • Sound technical skills
  • Attention to detail and be number oriented
  • Like to seize opportunity – take initiative and be a proactive problem-solver
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines
  • Eagerness to learn and possess the ability to take direction are key
  • Integrative view of projects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction oriented
  • Understand and accept that feedback is part of the process when working with clients and consultants through revisions
