Job description

OSG is looking for a strong, talented Project Manager to build structure and standardize ticket types, shape governance standards, and bring order to multi-team delivery. You will own the boards, the cadence, and the metrics that tell us whether we are on track à we will rely on you to say so plainly when we are not.

What You\'ll Do

  • Administer and architect Azure DevOps. Go beyond using boards to structure them: establish Epic/Feature/Story hierarchy, configure ticket types and workflows, and enforce the governance standards that keep work visible and traceable.

  • Run the SAFe cadence. Facilitate PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, and Agile Release Train rituals with working fluency in SAFe structure. Close the gap when teams are nominally "doing SAFe" but not following ART cadence in practice.

  • Build and maintain the schedule. Sequence multi-team work, map dependencies across groups, and surface critical-path items before they become blockers.

  • Design KPIs and reporting. Build the metrics and dashboards (Power BI or equivalent) that connect delivery data to our revenue reporting and broader KPI framework, and make status legible to leadership at a glance.

  • Plan capacity at the sprint and PI level. Model resource load across teams and proactively flag capacity gaps before anyone has to ask.

  • Coordinate across functions. Partner with Implementation, Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to keep handoffs clean and ownership unambiguous.

  • Own change and release management. Manage RFC/PCR-heavy workstreams, shepherd client‑facing deployments through the right approvals, and elevate for new processes where existing paths don't fit.

  • Drive continuous improvement. Apply lessons learned, close process gaps as we refine new implementation standards, and keep improving processes that already "work" when you see a better way.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience administering and configuring Azure DevOps, including board structure, work item hierarchy, and process templates, not just day‑to‑day ticket usage.

  • Working fluency in the SAFe framework: PI Planning, Agile Release Train structure, and Agile ceremonies and cadence.

  • Proven project scheduling and dependency mapping across multiple teams, including critical‑path identification.

  • Experience designing KPIs and building reporting in Power BI or an equivalent BI/reporting tool.

  • Sprint‑ and PI‑level resource and capacity planning experience.

  • Strong cross‑functional stakeholder coordination across technical and client‑facing groups.

  • Working knowledge of change and release management process (RFC/PCR or comparable change‑control frameworks).

  • A track record of continuous improvement, refining processes and standards rather than simply maintaining them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe certification (SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, or Release Train Engineer) or PMP/PMI-ACP.

  • Experience standing up a PMO function, governance model, or delivery standards from scratch.

  • Background supporting client‑facing implementation or delivery teams in a software or services environment.

  • Familiarity with reporting delivery metrics against revenue or commercial KPI frameworks.

Soft Skills

  • Direct, with psychological safety. Our team norm is "push back early, say stop when something isn't ready." You are comfortable naming risk before it becomes a crisis.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You can define a standard where five informal approaches already exist, and start moving without a finished playbook.

  • A neutral facilitator. You run ceremonies and cross‑team conversations without picking sides, especially at contested handoff points.

  • Diplomatic in escalation. You flag risk to leadership without creating alarm or finger‑pointing. Tone matters as much as content.

  • Accountable end to end. You close loops rather than just opening them; work you touch does not quietly go stale.

  • Curious and pattern‑oriented. You ask "why" instead of only executing — spotting systemic issues rather than isolated tickets.

  • A self‑starter. You solve problems proactively, seek out responsibility, identify areas to improve, and keep work progressing with minimal supervision.

  • Flexible and adaptable. You shift focus as new priorities surface while maintaining momentum on the initiatives that matter most.
