What You’ll Do
- SDLC Standards: Define and maintain the software development lifecycle standards including the 9-stage project delivery flow, stage gate criteria, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
- Process Documentation: Create and maintain SOPs, process guides, and reference documentation for all delivery processes. Ensure documentation is current, accessible, and usable by both internal and partner teams.
- Tooling Governance: Define the rules for how workflows between Planview and Azure DevOps - naming conventions, required fields, status mappings, and traceability requirements. Work with governance team members who maintain day-to-day execution.
- Compliance Support: Support ITGC evidence collection by ensuring process documentation meets audit requirements. Maintain change management and access control documentation.
- Training & Adoption: Make sure all teams understand and follow the defined standards. Create training materials, conduct onboarding sessions for new team members, and address process questions.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze retrospective findings, delivery metrics, and process feedback to identify improvement opportunities. Propose and implement process changes through the Director of Delivery Governance.
- Template Management: Maintain templates for user stories, architecture decision records, release checklists, and other standard artifacts.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in process management, PMO, delivery governance, or standards management roles.
- Strong experience documenting and maintaining SDLC processes and standards.
- Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and how process governance applies in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with ITGC controls, SOC 2 compliance, and audit evidence requirements.
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Planview, or similar project management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to drive consistency across multiple teams.
- Insurance or financial services industry experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated player/coach leadership style — you set the strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (up to 25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. Occasionally, the employee may need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
