Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee major structural steel and bridge projects in the New York City market. Based in NYC with hybrid work, you will coordinate clients, contractors and fabrication partners from planning through delivery.

You will own cost, schedule and scope, manage changes, and produce accurate progress reports while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within structural steel fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of the NYC structural steel market.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, scope and project changes.
• Ability to coordinate detailing, engineering, fabrication and erection.
• Strong client and contractor relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly to the main office.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from award through completion.
• Own project cost, schedule and scope.
• Coordinate detailing, engineering and fabrication activities.
• Maintain relationships with clients, general contractors and stakeholders.
• Manage change orders and project documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement, production and delivery schedules.
• Work with the fabrication team and coordinate erection and site delivery.
• Monitor risks and resolve issues before impact.
• Produce progress reports, forecasts and updates.
• Travel regularly to the facility with company-paid expenses.

Why This Role Matters

A growing structural steel and advanced bridge fabrication business is looking for an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee major projects across the New York City market.

This is a hybrid position based around NYC, offering the opportunity to work closely with clients, contractors and project partners while maintaining direct coordination with a major fabrication facility.

You’ll take ownership of projects from planning through delivery, ensuring cost, schedule, scope and client expectations remain firmly under control.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from award through completion
• Take ownership of project cost, schedule and scope
• Coordinate detailing, engineering and fabrication activities
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors and project stakeholders
• Manage change orders and project documentation
