Project Manager – Clean Energy (Remote) 100-140K

Location: Remote (occasional travel to NYC or Albany may be requested)

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a proactive and strategic Project Manager to support a New York State Agency Clean Energy program.

In this fully remote role, you will work directly with local governments, oversee program deliverables, and help drive clean energy and sustainability efforts across New York State.

This is a 3 year contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage contracts and projects with local governments and community partners
• Review and approve deliverables, including environmental and program metrics
• Provide technical assistance and policy support to municipalities
• Contribute to public-facing content, grant documentation, and program improvements
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to promote clean energy leadership
• Track deliverables in Salesforce and support contract amendments and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental policy, urban planning, or related field
• Experience working with local governments or clean energy initiatives
• Strong policy development, communication, and project management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Oracle/PeopleSoft
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainability and economic development
