Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors. You will work directly with customers and be involved in bidding and billing projects. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and are up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

  • Maintain strong and open relationships with owners, clients, government agencies, and trade associations.
  • Ensure constant communication between estimators, engineers, project superintendents, and administrative staff.
  • Attend project meetings with the owner.
  • Ensure that a correct budget is set up for each job.
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices and expenses associated with projects, either by direct performance or delegated authority.
  • Ensure that project forecasts are accurate and that a detailed cost-to-complete analysis is performed monthly for all projects.
  • Manage all monthly billings to ensure they are completed on time and accurately.
  • Review monthly billing with subcontractors and ensure all required compliance documentation, such as certified payroll and insurance, is on file for timely processing.
  • Utilize approved collection practices to receive payments due to the company promptly.
  • Gather supporting documentation for change orders, change of conditions, and ROI's. Document the status of all work in progress to ensure the company is compensated for all work performed.
  • Purchase or oversee the purchasing of all estimated materials and subcontracted work efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Coordinate with operations management to ensure field superintendents have the necessary information, equipment, materials, and personnel to maintain the project schedule and budget.
  • Ensure resources required for the project are scheduled and available in a timely manner through coordination with operations, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure projects comply with storm water management, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines, with thorough and complete documentation.
  • Complete all project closeout paperwork promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must have map analysis, tower analysis, and basic CAD knowledge.

Remote Opportunity - Must reside in Pacific or Central Time Zones.

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • You have at least 3 years of construction project experience.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You have intermediate schedule management skills.
  • You can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • You possess good hand-eye coordination.
  • You have good vision (20 feet or more and 20 inches or less) and can judge distances and spatial relationships.
  • You can identify and distinguish colors.
  • You can read blueprints accurately.
  • You can communicate progress, issues, and recommendations effectively to senior leadership.
  • You have safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.
