IT Project Manager (Remote) at DataBank. This position is based remotely in Dallas, TX, United States. Candidates should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent education. This vacancy is within the Information Technology sector.
Job Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager oversees planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of IT infrastructure and critical business systems projects. The role requires blending project management skills with technical IT knowledge to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget. The candidate should employ structured methodologies, understand IT system complexities, coordinate resources, manage stakeholders, and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Initiation
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Create project charters with objectives, success criteria, constraints, and stakeholder roles.
- Develop budgets covering hardware, software, licensing, and services.
- Identify dependencies and critical paths for complex deployments with mitigation strategies.
- Establish communication plans for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop procurement plans aligned with organizational policies.
- Project Execution & Control
- Lead cross-functional teams through project delivery.
- Monitor performance against baselines and conduct status meetings.
- Manage scope with change control processes.
- Track milestones using project management tools.
- Coordinate vendor activities and manage budgets and quality control.
- IT System Implementation Coordination
- Coordinate deployments of server infrastructure, WAN/LAN upgrades, security systems, and enterprise applications.
- Oversee data center migrations, disaster recovery projects, and security implementations.
- Manage desktop infrastructure projects.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Develop and deliver executive presentations, translate technical concepts, and manage expectations.
- Develop dashboards, facilitate requirements gathering, and coordinate training and change management.
- Manage vendor relationships and lead post-implementation reviews.
- Project Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams, define roles, conduct meetings, and provide feedback.
- Address team issues, manage conflicts, mentor junior staff, and control budgets.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
- At least 3 years managing IT infrastructure and projects.
- Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), security, procurement, and disaster recovery.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication, leadership, facilitation, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and relationship-building abilities.
