Job summary

RTH Building Company in Montclair, NJ, is seeking a Project Manager to own complex high-end residential projects from inception to completion.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors, ensure quality, and maintain client relationships while delivering on time and on budget.

This role offers real ownership on projects and opportunities to grow with a respected luxury builder.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
• Strong command of construction details, materials, and sequencing.
• Highly organized, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple high-end custom home projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and proposals to fully understand scope.
• Build and manage detailed project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Oversee construction to ensure alignment with plans and RTH's quality standards.
• Solve problems in real time and keep projects moving.
• Handle material ordering and procurement throughout the build.
• Conduct detailed inspections at each phase before approving work for payment.
• Maintain safe, organized job sites and enforce best practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients with a professional, confident presence.
• Deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and at the highest level of quality.

What We're Looking For

• 8–10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
• Strong command of construction details, materials, and sequencing
• Highly organized, with strong communication and leadership skills
• Self-starter who operates well with minimal supervision
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (UDA ConstructionOnline a plus)
• Valid driver's license

Not a Fit If

• You need constant direction or prefer a slower pace
• Your experience is primarily commercial without high-end residential detail
• You're not comfortable being client-facing

Compensation

• $110,000 - $150,000 (Based on experience)
