Job summary

Millis is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead commercial ground-up construction from pre-construction to completion. You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

You will collaborate with Superintendents, Estimators, Admins, and Operations teams to proactively plan, execute, and close out projects, maintaining accountability for performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial ground-up construction projects.
• Proven budget management and schedule oversight capabilities.
• Strong contracts, risk mitigation and safety knowledge.
• Proficiency in PM software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, pre-construction, and kickoff meetings.
• Manage budgets, financial tracking and cost control.
• Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations and scope alignment.
• Administer RFIs, submittals, plans, and construction documentation.
• Issue monthly payment applications and manage cash flow forecasts.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Monitor progress with scheduling and coordination.
• Collaborate with Superintendent to align long-range planning with site execution.
• Manage change orders, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Provide weekly updates and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
• Drive project to Substantial and Final Completion with closeout docs.

Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead commercial ground-up construction projects from pre-construction through completion. As the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, you’ll ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

You’ll collaborate closely with Superintendents, Estimators, Admins, and Operations teams to proactively plan, execute, and close out projects, maintaining full accountability for project performance and client satisfaction.

• Manage project budgets, financial tracking, and cost control to ensure profitability.
• Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope alignment.
• Administer and manage RFIs, submittals, plan updates, and all construction documentation.
• Issue monthly payment applications and manage project cash flow forecasts.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Monitor project progress through detailed scheduling and coordination.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent to align long-range planning with daily site execution.
• Manage change orders, invoices, and purchase orders for owners and subcontractors.
• Provide weekly project updates and facilitate clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders.
• Drive project to Substantial and Final Completion, ensuring closeout documentation and punch-list items are resolved.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial ground-up construction projects.
• Demonstrated success in budget management, schedule oversight, and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, risk mitigation, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
