Description

Project Manager

The number one focus is to liaison between the customer, salesman, onsite crew, and the shop. First goal is to maximize customer service by initiating accurate dates for a project from the beginning and tracking that information through the departments to ensure that we meet the dates promised. Communicate clearly, effectively, and timely with our customers. Track project schedules internally and from the field to ensure that milestone dates are hit and bring attention to any areas of the schedule that are not tracking to be met.

This position will be a hybrid position (70/30) working most of the time in the Lynchburg Va office and a portion of time onsite with the crew somewhere throughout the United States.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Work in depth with the salesman and sales service to ensure an accurate quote is generated.
• Work with all departments on providing accurate and achievable dates when a PO is received.
• Meet with customer and salesman upon receipt of PO to layout a preliminary high-level schedule. The focus will be to ensure that ACS receives the correct amount of downtime to be successful for each area of a project.
• Create a phase drawing and project timeline based on the preliminary schedule meeting with the customer and salesman.
• Draft and submit onsite dates for the equipment for the production schedule.
• Track release dates for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• Track purchases for assigned projects.
• Track department progress on equipment in the shop.
• Track Change Notices for assigned projects.
• Schedule internal and customer meetings for project schedule reviews.
• Coordinate with departments to update the timeline daily.
• Maintain production schedule for assigned projects
• Track ship dates for assigned projects.
• Order rental equipment for your assigned projects based on project needs.
• Track daily reports and update timeline.
• Provide weekly updates to management on assigned projects.
• Track manhours for assigned projects.
• Track supply house trips for assigned projects.
• Coach crew chiefs with ways to stay on schedule.
• Evaluate crew chiefs and crews.
• Perform random quality checks on equipment for assigned projects.
• Track and enforce accurate daily reports.
• Work with other PM's weekly on manpower schedule.
