Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead equipment installation projects for our client, including CT machines and advanced systems. You will manage the full lifecycle from planning through completion, coordinating with engineering, facilities, operations, procurement, and installation teams to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance.

You will develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitor scope and performance, manage risks, and report status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 8–10+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing equipment installation, engineering, construction, or facility projects.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving facility infrastructure and utility systems.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, nuclear, DOE, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment installation projects from planning through project completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, funding, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate installation activities for both standard and highly technical equipment.
  • Ensure facilities, utilities, and infrastructure are prepared for equipment installation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, facilities, operations, procurement, construction, and installation teams.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and overall performance.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare project documentation, schedules, installation plans, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support equipment testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve project issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Location: Los Alamos, NM (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Openings: 1–2 Positions

About the Role

Seeking experienced Project Managers to lead equipment installation projects supporting complex technical and facility operations. In this role, you'll manage the complete project lifecycle for equipment installations ranging from standard systems to highly specialized equipment such as Computed Tomography (CT) machines and other advanced technical systems. Success requires close collaboration with engineering, facilities, utilities, construction, procurement, operations, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications
  • EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical fieldOR equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Experience8–10+ years of project management experience
  • Experience managing equipment installation, engineering, construction, or facility projects
  • Experience coordinating projects involving facility infrastructure and utility systems
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, nuclear, DOE, or other highly regulated environments is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DOE Q Clearance
  • Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, LANL, or other National Laboratory programs
  • Experience managing technical equipment installations or facility modernization projects
  • Knowledge of facility systems, utilities, and infrastructure integration
  • Experience with project controls, construction coordination, and risk management
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
  • Primarily onsite position
  • Work performed in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or other regulated facilities
  • Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required during critical installation activities
