Job summary

PSR Talent Solutions is seeking a Project Manager for its Texas heavy civil division to deliver major bridge and structural infrastructure projects. You will lead from planning through delivery, coordinating field teams, subs, clients and leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy civil PM experience with bridges/structures, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and strong scheduling, cost control and communication skills. Texas/TxDOT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven bridge and/or structures experience is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil projects from planning through delivery, coordinating field teams and subs.

Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Bridges & Structures

An established heavy civil contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Texas operation, delivering major civil infrastructure projects across the state.

This position requires a strong heavy civil background, with previous experience delivering bridge and/or major structural packages essential.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for projects from planning through delivery, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, clients and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage heavy civil projects safely, on schedule and within budget
• Oversee bridge and structural scopes, coordinating field operations, subcontractors and engineering teams
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls and change management
• Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones
• Manage subcontractor and vendor performance
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers and project stakeholders
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to resolve project issues
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting and commercial records
• Support procurement, planning and overall project delivery

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction
• Proven bridge and/or structures experience is essential
• Experience with transportation, highway or other major civil infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management and subcontractor management
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred; equivalent heavy civil experience will also be considered
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Texas/TxDOT project experience would be highly advantageous
