Job summary

FastTek Global seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large strategic projects for the Department of Information, Technology, and Budget (DTMB-MB). You will oversee scope, schedules, budgets, vendor participation, and multi-stakeholder coordination at an executive level.

Qualified candidates have 6+ years of PM experience on IT software or infrastructure initiatives with 50+ team members, strong leadership and communication skills, and advanced Agile expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of professional experience as a project manager for IT software or infrastructure projects involving 50 or more team members.
• Advanced experience managing Agile projects.
• Advanced experience managing scope, schedule, and project budget.
• Advanced experience with vendor management.
• Experience writing or participating in development of Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Proposal (RFP) or contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• PMP Certification is highly desired

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, leadership, and project management for large strategic IT projects with high visibility at the Agency Executive level.
• Coordinate vendor participation and manage multiple stakeholders across complex schedules and systems integration.
• Lead efforts to manage scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with DTMB-MB objectives.
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to executives and stakeholders.

Job description

This position provides oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management functions for large strategic and complex projects supporting Department of Information, Technology, and Budget (DTMB-MB) with high visibility at the Agency Executive level. These projects typical have a large diverse set of stakeholders, utilize vendor participation, require coordination of multiple stakeholders, complex schedules, and significant integration with other systems.

Advanced experience managing complex projects, a significant degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
