Job summary

The Brahma Group (Entity of JT Thorpe Group) is seeking a Project Manager for Lake Charles, LA. You will lead on-site and off-site project activities, manage logistics, quality control, safety, and reporting while coordinating with superintendents and the client to deliver on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction project management, strong leadership, independence, and a willingness to travel.

Position: Project Manager

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Summary:

As the Project Manager, you will bridge the customer’s needs with a well planned and executed solution. You achieve this by utilizing the Brahma Group’s cutting-edge equipment, extensive manpower workforce, and by leading your crew through safe production; creating a solution for your customer that will last for years.

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, the Project Manager works on all sizes of industrial construction projects. The Project Manager is the primary company representative responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Directs and supervises activities related to onsite construction, contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, and timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of Construction Project Management experience, including but not limited to developing project plans, coordinating projects, managing project team activities, and communicating changes and progress. Successful Project Managers complete projects on time and on budget.
• Ability to self-structure. Independence is key to this job, and therefore organization, strong time management and multi-tasking is required.
• Hard working, conscientious, self-starters who are looking to build a long-term career with our company.
• Customer Service - Manage difficult customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
• Must be willing to travel as needed based on project demands.
• Must have a strong work ethic allowing for long hours at industrial construction sites.
• Strong sense of integrity, assertiveness, and urgency.
• High abstract reasoning and idea orientation skills.
• High self-confidence. Customers need to trust what you are saying.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field strongly preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Full Size Pickup Truck w/ gas card.
• Company Phone, laptop, additional electronics and tools as needed.
• Potential to bid, win, negotiate, and execute projects.
