Job summary

ZETA USA Inc. in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a Project Manager to lead pharmaceutical and biotech capital projects from planning to start-up. You will serve as the primary interface between clients, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and in full GMP compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in life sciences, strong scheduling and budgeting skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in pharma/biotech.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, forecasts, and client communications.
• Understanding of GMP-regulated environments and drawings/technical docs.

Your tasks

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects ranging from $500k to $20M. This role serves as the primary interface between clients, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with GMP requirements.

Projects may include process design, equipment fabrication, automation, and related systems for GMP manufacturing facilities.

• Lead project planning, resource forecasting, and project execution activities.
• Manage interdisciplinary teams consisting of process, mechanical, automation and E&IC engineers.
• Serve as the primary client-facing project lead and maintain strong communication with customer stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost tracking, and change orders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Facilitate project status meetings and client communications.
• Manage procurement and equipment delivery coordination.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities.
• Prepare and present project reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage project scope changes, contract deliverables, and project documentation.
• Ensure project work is performed in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and GMP requirements.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, financial forecasts, and client communications.
• Understanding of GMP-regulated environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ability to travel as required by project needs, typically up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification.
• Experience with EPCM project delivery.
• Experience with pharmaceutical process equipment and utility systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling software.
