Confidential Opportunity seeks a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager for structural steel fabrication and erection. This role leads projects from award through engineering, fabrication, delivery, erection and completion, coordinating with engineers, shops, crews and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years for PM and 5+ years for Senior PM in structural steel, with strong scheduling, budgeting and communication skills. Regional travel and site visits are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction project management experience for Project Manager-level positions.
• 5+ years for Senior Project Manager-level positions.
• Strong experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection.
• Experience managing commercial structural steel projects.
• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection methods, sequencing and industry practices.

• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Depending on experience, you will take responsibility for managing structural steel projects from contract award through engineering, fabrication, delivery, erection and completion.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership and direction to Junior Project Managers
• Reviewing schedules, cost reports, change orders and client correspondence
• Mentoring and developing less-experienced project management professionals

Ideal Background
