In this role, you’ll manage project timelines, coordinate with community partners, hire and train student employees, and ensure smooth execution of all activities. From budget oversight to maintaining accurate records, your leadership will be key to the project’s success. Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all aspects of a designated project, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to timelines, and successful outcomes.
  2. Coordinate program staffing; hire, train, and supervise student employees.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with the Whitely Institute and other community partners.
  4. Develop research-informed curriculum, including print and digital materials for group learning.
  5. Liaise between Ball State team members and community team members.
  6. Attend community meetings; offer updates, address concerns, and ensure project progress is on track.
  7. Evaluate and identify metrics related to program effectiveness.
  8. Implement a system for maintaining organized project files.
  9. Monitor the project budget, make necessary purchases, and process reimbursements.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year experience in a community-serving program and/or other community-based agencies or organizations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the project team, Ball State staff, students, as well as community leaders and participants.
  • Willingness and ability to travel; possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
  • Authorization to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in project management or coordination.
  • Experience working with community-based projects or in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, or early intervention.
