Job summary

Pacific Shipyards International (PSI) in Hawaii is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our ship repair projects ranging from $1M to $20M. The PM will report to the Vice President of Production and manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Strong leadership, communication, and contract administration skills are required in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of ship repair or marine industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Knowledge of federal contracts and shipboard lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Experience with work sequencing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned ship repair and commercial projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
  • Lead project planning, forecasting, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor financial performance: budgets, labor utilization, and profitability.
  • Develop, negotiate, and administer contract modifications and change orders.
  • Coordinate activities between production, engineering, planning, procurement, and customer representatives.

ryWe are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager (PM) to join our Project Management team. The Project Manager will report to the Vice President of Production and is responsible for the management and execution of commercial ship repair projects ranging from $1M to $20M in valu

e.
The PM serves as the primary point of contact for customers and is responsible for the overall financial, contractual, and operational performance of assigned projects. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and business acumen to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer and contractual requiremen

ts.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and successfully navigate project risks, scope changes, and customer expectations while maintaining project profitability and customer satisfact

The PM must establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, owners, estimators, engineers, subcontractors, supervisors, and production personnel. Experience with contract administration, project controls, forecasting, scheduling, change management, and customer relationship management is essential. Experience in commercial ship repair, shipbuilding, industrial construction, marine services, or related industries is highly desir
