Job summary

Bishop & Company, Inc. is seeking two Project Managers to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on O'ahu.

These long-term, contract roles involve project planning, documentation management, cost tracking, and stakeholder communication across Hawai'i. Candidates must reside on O'ahu by hire and have a background in project management within construction, with experience in DoD or government environments preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Four (4) years of directly related experience may substitute the degree
  • Minimum three (3) years in project planning, program analysis, project controls, construction management
  • At least one (1) year supporting a U.S. Government or DoD contract environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Project Delivery Teams and support execution from planning through closeout
  • Develop, review, and maintain Project Management Plans and related documentation
  • Assist with project scope, site approvals, permits, and regulatory documentation
  • Track schedules, budgets, commitments, obligations, and expenditures
  • Maintain project records in government systems including ProjectWise
  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports, dashboards, and briefings
  • Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, minutes, and track action items
  • Monitor risks, maintain risk registers, and support mitigation planning
  • Draft funding requests and interagency agreements for government review
  • Support closeout activities and lessons learned

Project Manager (2 Openings)

Location: O'ahu, Hawai'i (work may be performed at any USACE office on O'ahu)

Employment Type: Long‑Term Contract

Bishop & Company is recruiting for two Project Managers to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on O'ahu. These long‑term contract opportunities support military construction and facility repair programs across Hawai'i. The selected candidates will assist Program and Project Management Division (PPMD) personnel with project planning, project delivery coordination, documentation management, cost tracking, and communication among stakeholders. Candidates must reside on O'ahu by the time of hire. Relocation assistance is not available.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate Project Delivery Teams (PDTs) and support project execution from planning through closeout
  • Develop, review, and maintain Project Management Plans (PMPs) and supporting project documentation
  • Assist with project scope development, site approvals, permits, and regulatory documentation
  • Track project schedules, budgets, commitments, obligations, and expenditures
  • Maintain project records and correspondence within Government systems, including ProjectWise
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefings
  • Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, record minutes, and track action items
  • Monitor project risks, maintain risk registers, and support mitigation planning
  • Draft funding requests, interagency agreements, and other project documentation for Government review
  • Support project closeout activities, including organizing final documentation and lessons learned
  • Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders while maintaining clear contractor identification
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • Minimum three (3) years of project planning, program analysis, project controls, construction management, or related experience within the construction industry
  • At least one (1) year of experience supporting a U.S. Government or Department of Defense (DoD) contract environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
Preferred Experience
  • Military construction (MILCON) projects
  • Federal project management processes and documentation
  • Project scheduling, cost tracking, and risk management
  • Coordination of multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
