Job summary

Southern Recruiting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our food & beverage division to lead design-build projects from scope through construction start. You will coordinate design efforts, budgeting, and scheduling across multiple stakeholders to meet owner objectives.

You will support pursuit activities, develop proposals, and participate in client interviews while ensuring compliance with budgets and schedules. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Project management support to leadership by helping to manage/resolve issues, risks, and re-planning efforts.
• Experience with Design-Build processes and managing teams through design integration to construction start.
• Strong coordination of design, preconstruction and construction activities across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support participation in project pursuits: determine scope, develop proposals, and participate in presentations/interviews for the new division.
• Manage the flow of project information in and out of design and construction development.
• Coordinate design and facilities communication; maintain design within budgets and support schedule progression.
• Develop manhour estimates and project budgets for capital projects.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction and Design to ensure budgets are established and required meetings are held.
• Analyze alternative design options with Preconstruction.
• Align Owner objectives to drive design decisions.
• Integrate all designers, preconstruction, construction, Owner and external consultants.
• Contract consultants in collaboration with General Counsel.

Job description

• The Project Manager - food & beverage will support participation in project pursuits, including determining project scope, developing proposal deliverables, and participating in presentations and interviews for this newly established division.
• Manages the flow of project information in and out of the development of design and construction.
• Integrate design, facilities communication amongst team members. Maintain design within budgets, and support design progression to maintain construction schedule
• Develops manhour estimates and project budgets for capital projects.
• Along with the construction Operations Team Lead, coordinate with Preconstruction and Design to ensure the appropriate Budget is established, all design and preconstruction meetings are conducted, as required.
• Work with Preconstruction to analyze alternative design options
• Establish alignment regarding the Owner’s overall Objectives that will drive the design.
• Integrate the entire team of designers, preconstruction, construction, Owner and any external consultants.
• Working with General Counsel, contract with all needed consultants.

Requirements

• The Project Manager - food & beverage will experience providing project management support to the leadership team by helping to manage/resolve issues, risks, and re-planning efforts.
• Will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the A/E Building Design & Construction industry; 5+ years of experience in Design-Build and managing teams through the process of design integration to start of construction Experience in food and beverage, freezer/cooler, or controlled environment facility projects is desirable.
• Experienced in Design-Build and progressive Design-Build Best Practices
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
