Quality Theorem in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks an experienced Project Manager to translate client statements of work into deliverables and milestones, and to build and maintain detailed project schedules over the life of each engagement.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks and changes, and ensure client alignment, timely reporting, and successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client SOW/LOI/Work Order into deliverables and milestones.
  • Ensure project requirements are documented and agreed.
  • Establish a project plan to achieve deliverables and milestones.
  • Maintain the detailed project schedule throughout the project.
  • Manage IT projects, segments, and resource schedules.
  • Define goals, outline approach, and adjust to meet delivery.
  • Track changes, provide updates, and report to customers per schedule.
  • Provide leadership for the project team, including resource assignments for company and client.
  • Contribute to strategic plans, implement action plans, improve production, quality, and customer service.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to achieve outputs.
  • Proactively manage escalations.
  • Ensure billing accuracy prior to invoicing.
  • Create project controls: action items, risk/issue/change/decision logs.
  • Act as main point of contact for project communications with sponsors, stakeholders, and team leads.
  • Garner consensus in challenging circumstances.
  • Instill confidence in delivery to clients.
  • Expert in project team management, cross-functional resources, and matrix reporting.
  • Drive operations meetings to manage milestones, decisions, and plans.
  • Ensure structured meetings with clear goals; communicate decisions and actions to all stakeholders.
  • Oversee all HR aspects including hiring, firing, and performance management.

Job description

  • Independently translate contents of a Client Statement of Work, Letter of Intent, or other Work Order into deliverables and milestones for customers
  • Ensure that the project requirements are documented and agreed upon
  • Establish a project plan that will achieve the project deliverables and milestones
  • Responsible for maintaining the detailed project schedule over the project duration
  • Manage IT projects, project segments, and resources schedules
  • Define goals, outline approach, and make adjustments to achieve desired delivery
  • Track project changes, produce updates, and report to the customer based on the agreed schedule
  • Provide leadership/direction for the project team including resource assignments for both company and client
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Proactively manage escalations
  • Ensure billing is correct prior to invoicing
  • Create Project controls such as action item lists, risk logs, issues logs, change control, decision logs
  • Act as point person for Project-level communications that will keep sponsors, stakeholders, business partners, and team leads informed on matters including, progress to plan; key milestones; integration efforts/needs across the program and/or project; risks, issues, etc.
  • Capable of garnering consensus in challenging circumstances
  • Instill confidence of delivery to Clients
  • An expert in project team management including dynamics of virtual teams, matrix reporting relationships, and cross-functional resource identification and allocation
  • Drive operations meetings or another appropriate forum to prospectively manage upcoming milestones, decisions, and plans
  • Ensure meetings have structure and clear purpose and goals; facilitate and drive meetings effectively and communicate decisions and action items clearly to team members and relevant parties outside of the team
  • Responsible for all aspects of HR including hiring, firing, and performance management
