Job summary

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instill safety as a top priority.
  • Manage and support a team consisting of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and project staff.
  • Track and report project progress, budgets, and needs with Operation Managers.
  • Build relationships and communicate with owners or owner’s representatives.
  • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
  • Provide monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.
  • Assist with updating monthly schedules.
  • Coordinate equipment and staff needs with regional and on-site management.
  • Serve as the project representative with clients at meetings, job walks, and other correspondence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education & Skills Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in highway heavy construction as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
  • Positive attitude and excellent motivation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Desire to grow and develop a career and mentor other coworkers.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must ensure compliance with CMMC, FAR, and Accounting Standards in all federal efforts.
Working Conditions
  • Location: Southwest Region; travel required.
  • Construction Site: Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb; exposed to high noise levels.
  • Construction Site Office: Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping, and reaching required; ability to lift 5–20 pounds occasionally.
