The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

We are seeking a highly organized Project Manager to work on our facilities team. You will be engaged in projects involving both the physical facility and research projects on our 500,000 square foot campus in East Hartford, Connecticut.

What You Will Do

  • You will be responsible for interpreting customer desires and technical requirements, providing cost-effective solutions to meet customer objectives, sourcing materials and labor to accomplish required tasks, contractor management, scheduling, and day-to-day problem solving and troubleshooting.

  • You will be representing the facilities engineering team to the customer, and regularly reporting results to the principal investigator (PI) and other stakeholders on project progress, risk, schedule, and budget.

This is an on-site/in-person role. US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Codes and Standards applicable to subject of work (i.e. IPC, IBC, IMC, NFPA, B31.1, B31.3, OSHA, etc.)

  • Experience with trades means and methods (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical)

  • Project management software

Preferred Skills

  • SAP Enterprise Management Software

  • Project Management credentials or certificate

  • Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs

  • or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
