Job summary

Granger Construction in Detroit, MI is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex building initiatives from kickoff to closeout. You will coordinate owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You’ll develop and maintain schedules, manage RFIs and submittals, oversee budgets, and ensure quality while upholding Granger's values of trust, integrity, and teamwork across multi-sector projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proactive mindset with the tenacity to solve challenges and meet deadlines.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new construction management tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between owners, architects, subcontractors, and teams, ensuring seamless communication.
• Manage key project processes, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost tracking.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, coordinate MEP and BIM processes, and work closely with internal teams like accounting, design, and estimating.
• Write subcontracts and purchase orders, monitor budgets, and problem-solve to keep projects on track.
• Deliver projects to closeout with a zero-punch list goal and comprehensive handoff.
• Represent Granger's values of trust, integrity, and teamwork in all interactions.
