Job summary

Actalent in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex industrial and construction-focused projects. You will work with engineering, quality, planning and manufacturing teams to ensure project goals, quality and on-time delivery.

You will manage scope, schedules, and budgets, translate customer specifications into actionable deliverables, and produce drawing packages for production. Some travel and office-based collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or PM required.
• 1-3 years of project management in industrial/manufacturing setting.
• 1+ year reading AutoCAD drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into actionable project deliverables.
• Monitor and manage changes affecting project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Produce and deliver accurate drawing packages to manufacturing and partner closely with production to ensure product quality.
• Identify challenges, troubleshoot issues, and make timely, well-informed decisions.
• Uphold and enforce quality standards across all project phases.

• Assign and oversee work distributed to engineering team and production.
• Track project metrics, evaluate outcomes, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience.
• Proficiency in Engineering, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MicroStation.
• Ability to interpret and manage electrical engineering designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• 1-3 years of experience managing projects in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in an office setting within a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing organization. Project Managers spend approximately 75-80% of their time at a desk collaborating with engineering, quality, and planning teams, with regular time on the production floor engaging with foremen and operations staff. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, with 40-hour work weeks. Minimal travel is required, as most customer interaction occurs onsite. Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
