Job summary

Sky Blue Builders, LLC in the Denver Metro Area is seeking a Project Manager to oversee all phases of multiple construction projects, from pre-construction through completion. You will work with Superintendents and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial building industry.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and procedures.
• Proficient with MS Project; experience with Procore, BIM 360 and P6 Primavera preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to commute to the Denver Metro Area and obtain necessary security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all administrative and operational aspects of multiple construction projects.
• Participate in early project development, including negotiations and bidding.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to build and manage project teams.
• Oversee pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, scheduling, and planning.
• Review shop drawings and project documents for contract compliance.
• Develop and manage project work plans, staffing, and resources.
• Monitor progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Prepare and present project reports; adjust schedules as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve project issues with staff.
• Supervise and evaluate Project Superintendents and team members.

Job description

Sky Blue Builders, LLC is an employee-owned company (ESOP) specializing in commercial construction projects in the Denver Metro Area. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all phases of multiple construction projects, from pre-construction through completion. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team, including Superintendents and subcontractors, to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all administrative and operational aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines and budgets.
• Participate in early project development, including negotiations and bidding, to maintain project control from inception.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to build and manage project teams, including employees and subcontractors.
• Oversee pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, scheduling, job cost setup, and project planning.
• Review shop drawings and project documents for compliance with contract requirements.
• Develop and manage project work plans, staffing, and resource allocation for each project phase.
• Monitor project progress, quality control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present project reports for management and clients; adjust schedules and plans as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve project-related issues with staff and stakeholders.
• Supervise and evaluate Project Superintendents and other team members, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial building industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and project scheduling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam required; experience with Procore, BIM 360, and P6 Primavera preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Experience with technical report writing, submittal processes, and field verification of procured products.
• Strong computer skills and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate meetings and monitor project budgets.
• Experience managing vendors and working on diverse project types is a plus.
• Must be able to commute to the Denver Metro Area and obtain necessary security clearances (DEN security badge and/or GSA SF85 Public Trust Clearance).
• Commitment to following company safety policies and procedures.
• Experience in government construction projects is a plus but not required.

Compensation

Salary range: $95,000 - $150,000 per year (Salaried, Exempt)
