Job summary

G&E Partners in Dallas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own complex civil projects across the region, leading from mobilization through final closeout. You will steer project teams, coordinate field operations, and serve as the primary liaison with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

The role rewards proactive leadership, strong communication, and a track record of delivering safely, on time, and within budget on heavy civil programs such as bridges, highways, and rail

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Project Management experience in civil or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience delivering bridges, highways, or rail projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and project financials.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive approach to driving projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to mentor field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of safety, schedule, quality, cost, and profitability.
  • Lead projects from preconstruction to closeout, including billing.
  • Manage Superintendents, project engineers, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Review contracts, drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and POs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Build relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Mentor personnel and contribute to organizational development.

I am working with a long-standing civil construction client in Dallas that is entering an exciting phase of strategic expansion. They are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of complex civil projects across the region.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, you will oversee civil construction projects from mobilization through to final closeout. You will lead project teams, support field operations, and act as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of project performance, including safety, schedule, quality, cost, and profitability.
  • Lead projects from preconstruction and mobilization through execution, billing, and final closeout.
  • Manage and support Superintendents, Project Engineers, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and material requirements across active projects.
  • Monitor production, quantities, and project progress while proactively resolving delays and operational challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project partners, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor project personnel and contribute to the continued development of the wider operations team.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5+ years of Project Management experience within civil or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following: Bridges, Highways, Rail
  • Earthwork, Excavation, Grading, Underground Utilities, Site Development
  • Proven ability to lead construction teams and manage multiple crews and/or projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, client relationships, and project financials.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
