Job summary

SQUAN is seeking an experienced OSP Design and Engineering Project Manager in the United States. You will lead project plans, timelines, budgets, and coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities include supervising design and engineering, ensuring compliance with standards, managing resources and quality control, communicating with stakeholders, and maintaining thorough documentation and reporting. PE license is a plus.

Design and Engineering:

• Supervise the OSP engineering team in creating detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs and modifications.

Resource Management:

• Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and quality standards.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of OSP engineering designs and installations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess project progress and quality of work.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
• Proactively address issues as they arise, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
• Generate regular status reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in OSP engineering and project management, preferably in the telecommunications or utility industry.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of outside plant design principles, fiber optics, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
