Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an OSP Engineer to join their client’s growing team in Wisconsin. The role involves leading design for aerial, underground, and inside plant fiber builds, coordinating permitting, materials, contractors, and schedules to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience and 3+ years in fiber engineering/telecom, with familiarity in OSP design, permitting, ROWs, and stakeholder coordination. PMP/CAPM is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D for utility, roadway, and fiber designs.
• 3+ years of fiber engineering/telecom experience with OSP design and deployment.
• Experience with OSP design & permitting processes including ROW, easements, permits, and working across municipalities.
• Project management experience (PMP/CAPM preferred).
• Experience coordinating multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders.
• Contractor management experience.

Insight Global is looking for an OSP Engineer to join their client's growing team. The right person will have experience supporting large-scale fiber infrastructure projects for enterprise customers across multiple jurisdictions. Day to day, they will lead design efforts for aerial, underground, and inside plant fiber builds while coordinating permitting, materials, contractors, and construction schedules. They will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, municipalities, customers, and vendors to ensure projects remain on track and engineering dependencies are resolved proactively. It is vital that this resource has some kind of formal AutoCad training and has worked within it professionally for multiple years. Success in this role comes from having a strong OSP fiber design background, experience navigating permitting processes, and the ability to manage complex projects with aggressive delivery timelines.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating and revising utility, roadway, and fiber infrastructure designs using topographic data, survey information, and GIS/base mapping resources.
• 3+ years of fiber engineering/telecom experience with an understanding of OSP fiber network design and deployment.
• Exposure to OSP Design & Permitting processes with right-of-way (ROW), easements, permits, and working across municipalities. -Project Management Experience (PMP/CAPM Preferred)
