Job summary

Novax Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection and fabrication projects in Cleveland, Ohio. You will manage projects from award through completion, coordinating with engineering, procurement, subcontractors and field teams to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction project management, a strong ability to read drawings, and proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Commercial Construction Project Management
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
• Structural steel project management experience preferred but not essential
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred (relevant industry experience considered)
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience using Bluebeam and Microsoft Office; On-Screen Takeoff advantageous
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Candidates from General Contractors and specialty contractors encouraged to apply

Job Title: Project Manager – Steel Erection

Our client is a well-established structural steel contractor with decades of experience delivering commercial, institutional and industrial construction projects across Ohio. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection and fabrication projects from award through completion.

Day to Day

• Manage multiple structural steel erection and fabrication projects simultaneously.
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts and budgets.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors and field operations.
• Set up and manage projects using project management software.
• Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Meet regularly with clients, vendors and operations teams.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, financial forecasts and cash flow.
• Assist with project billing and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager.
