Job summary

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with an innovative advanced technology manufacturer in the Syracuse, NY area to hire a Project Manager. This role will coordinate new product introduction (NPI) projects and manage the transition of electronic products from engineering development into production at an external contract manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• PM experience in engineering/manufacturing or technical settings.
• Experience with NPI, manufacturing transfers or contract manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic hardware, PCBs or electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience coordinating BOMs, technical documentation and deliverables.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing transfer projects.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables.
• Coordinate BOMs, engineering documentation, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Serve as a liaison between internal engineering teams and overseas contract manufacturing partners.
• Track project progress, resolve outstanding issues, and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Develop and improve standardized manufacturing transfer processes and procedures.

This role will play a key role in coordinating new product introduction (NPI) projects and managing the transition of electronic products from engineering development into production at an external contract manufacturing facility.

• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams.
