ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Project Manager to lead utility-scale renewable energy projects—from development to commercial operation—coordinating construction, engineering, safety, and environmental teams in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and reporting, oversee EPC and related contracts, and drive performance through proactive risk and change controls. On-site in Chicago with regular travel and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy or related projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience with project scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SharePoint; PMP/ OSHA preferred.

ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.**ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind, and hybrid energy facilities. This position manages projects from development and pre-construction through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation, with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, budget, and overall project performance. The role leads multidisciplinary teams and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.**Job Description****Key Responsibilities:*** Lead the execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects from development through commercial operation, coordinating multidisciplinary project teams across construction, engineering, safety, quality, environmental, procurement, project controls, and commissioning.* Manage EPC, engineering, supply, construction, and service agreements, including contract compliance, change orders, claims, and commercial matters.* Own project schedule performance, including critical path analysis, milestone tracking, recovery planning, and schedule reporting.* Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, earned value, contingency, and cost-to-complete analysis.* Lead project reporting, including weekly, monthly, and executive updates, KPI dashboards, performance tracking, closeout, and turnover records.* Lead quality management activities, including inspections, non-conformance resolution, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.* Serve as a primary interface with utilities, transmission providers, engineering firms, contractors, equipment suppliers, and other key stakeholders.* Champion a proactive safety culture and drive performance against TRIR, LTIR, and environmental objectives.* Support the recruitment and training of project personnel.* Other responsibilities as assigned.**Required Skills and Competencies****Qualifications:*** 5+ years of experience managing utility-scale renewable energy, power generation, heavy industrial, or infrastructure projects.* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.* Strong experience with project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost-to-complete, and project controls.* Strong contract administration and commercial management experience, including EPC and related project agreements.* Experience with project scheduling, risk management, performance reporting, and managing multidisciplinary project teams.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Autodesk platforms is a plus.* PMP and OSHA 30-Hour certifications are preferred; on-site construction experience is preferred.* Ability to travel 25%–50% to domestic and international locations.* Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.* Fluency in Spanish is a plus.**Pay & Benefits:*** Base Pay: $115,000 - $135,0000* 10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics)* Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA options.* Benefits after 90 days: 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and other optional plans.* 15 days of PTO (with 1 additional day per year of service), 9 public holidays, and 2 flexible holidays.* $50 monthly reimbursement for health, wellness, or fitness-related memberships and equipment.**Job Location:**55 E Monroe St, Suite 2900Chicago, IL 60603 **Physical Requirements, Accommodations, & Accessibility Statement****Seeing & Comprehension:** Ability to read and comprehend documents, reports, computer screens, and other written or electronic information.
