Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced Project Manager to support executives on multiple commercial construction projects. You will develop scope, schedule, and budgets, with on-site presence 4-5 days per week and travel as needed.

You will identify risks, coordinate vendors and contractors, review drawings and specs, and ensure compliance with building codes, ADA, and sustainable practices. LEED familiarity is a plus, visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex commercial construction projects across a wide array of project types.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and local jurisdictional regulations.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Ability to prepare and track budgets, forecasts, schedules, and project risk assessments.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team or independent environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with architects, contractors, client representatives, and team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Project Management Applications.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job description

  • Support project executives on multiple projects and assignments
  • Maintain on-site presence 4-5 days per week
  • Develop scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects
  • Identify and address project risks, logistical issues, budget concerns, and scope concerns
  • Create, coordinate, and track vendor Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and vendors
  • Prepare and update project status reports
  • Process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain due-diligence and financial files
  • Track project schedules against critical paths to identify risk
  • Coordinate vendors' and contractors' activities according to scope and schedule, including critical support spaces
  • Meet client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Use Project Development Services technology as required
  • Perform other reasonable assigned duties
