Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from site to close-out, handling schedule development, cost control and safety oversight.

You will supervise the Assistant Project Manager and office staff, coordinate with design teams, owners and subcontractors, and drive submittals, RFIs, procurement and project reporting to meet BLHI standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree with relevant experience plus minimum 3 years in related field.
• Or 4-year degree in non-relevant field with minimum 5 years relevant exp.
• OSHA 10 Hour certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all direct responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager.
• Oversee submittal and RFI processes.
• Coordinate material deliveries and documentation.
• Lead jobsite safety enforcement and progress reporting.
• Develop schedules and manage project costs.
• Support risk management and change control.
• Resolve disputes and manage relationships with design teams and subcontractors.

Educational Requirements Of Position

• Degree/Experience
  • 4 year degree in a relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university + minimum of 3 years of relevent experience
  • or 4 year degree in a non-relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university + minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Trade Certification/Accreditation
  • OSHA 10 Hour

Technical Requirements Of Positon

• Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software/application)
  • Proficiency in Timberline PJ (or similar project management software/application)
  • Proficiency in Viewpoint (or similar AP software/application)
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks, Revit and Sketch-up
• General
  • Mastery of Quantity Take-off & Subcontractor Solicitation to support estimating
  • In-depth understanding of building components and trade sequencing
  • Working knowledge of construction surveying/layout

  • Basic understanding of risk management

Essential Function Of The Position

• Supervising all direct responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager. In the absence of an APM, these responsibilities shall be handled directly.

• Supervising job photos and progress documentation
• Supervising the completion of job close-out requirements
• Supporting jobsite safety enforcement
• Schedule development, management and reporting
