Job summary

A design-build general contractor in the Birmingham, AL area is seeking an experienced Project Manager with at least 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, and commercial construction. The successful candidate will manage project stability, budget, and personnel while coordinating with subcontractors. A Bachelor's degree and valid experience are necessary, with a preference for candidates familiar with Area projects. Must have 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial and Commercial Construction.

Need to be local to the Mobile, AL area.

Summary

An experienced project manager with at least 2 years of experience in commercial/industrial construction. Preference will be given to candidates with industrial and/or structural experience in the Tennessee Valley.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, purchasing materials, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Establishes work plan for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Prepares status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with subcontractors.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two years commercial-industrial construction experience.

5-10 year of experience in manufacturing, industrial and commercial construction
