Job summary

UST is seeking a Project Manager I for its Austin, Texas location. You will support end-to-end project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting, coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver milestones and prioritized deliverables.

The role emphasizes maintaining schedules, dashboards, and documentation, with a focus on process improvements and PM best practices. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of PM-related experience are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, program support, or a related role.
  • Experience managing schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
  • Experience working in a technology, engineering, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment (preferred).
  • PMP or CAPM certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, action items, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive project deliverables.
  • Track project scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and overall progress.
  • Facilitate project meetings and document decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
  • Identify project risks and roadblocks and elevate issues when necessary.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet defined requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and project records.
  • Communicate project status, key updates, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Support process improvements and help implement project management best practices.

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, program support, or a related role
  • Experience managing schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation
  • Experience working in a technology, engineering, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment (preferred)
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Risk management and issue escalation
  • Project planning and scheduling expertise
  • Technical Proficiencies:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Project tracking and management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices (preferred)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • PMP or CAPM certification

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation Range: $88,000-$132,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
