Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Project Manager for Self-Perform Construction in Austin to oversee commercial projects from planning to completion. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources, coordinating subcontractors, clients, and vendors to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and safety focus. Travel to job sites is expected; a CM-related degree and relevant PM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in CM, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read plans and specs.
  • Knowledge of divisions 6,10,12,32 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects from planning through completion, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop schedules, labor plans, estimates, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control.

Project Manager - Self-Perform Construction

A growing construction services company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Develop project schedules, labor plans, estimates, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchasing, and document control.
  • Monitor project costs, progress, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and resolve constructability and project issues.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates.
  • Conduct jobsite visits and support field operations.
  • Work closely with accounting and operations to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Strong construction project management and estimating experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction; experience with Divisions 6, 10, 12, and 32 is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel and take on multiple project responsibilities.
